It is in this context that we decided to automate a lathe 100%. In addition to a bar feeder feed, it was necessary to be able to load in piece to piece mode for the small (10 pieces) and the medium (200 pieces) series.

The solution proposed by ARMIN Robotics, an M35-Compact robotic cell equipped with an accumulation conveyor is ideal for our application. It offers the capacity and flexibility we were looking for.

Today our DMG NLX lathe works alone during the 2 shifts of the day and finishes his last serie in the middle of the night. The productivity gain is undeniable! Operators quickly adopted this new organization of work. They now focus on single and complex parts and leave the repetitive work to the robot.
